Marina Comedy Club – March 2025

With Javier Jarquin, Rory O’Hanlon, Matt Adlington and hosted by Jeremy O’Donnell!

 

Headlining the show is Kiwi comic Javier Jarquin! Javier is an extremely experienced and highly respected, multi-hyphenated performer. Having performed his critically acclaimed show Card Ninja in over 27 territories and with a new focus of building his reputation as a comedy circuit headline act, Javier has established himself as a masterful entertainer. 

 

Javier was born in New Zealand to Latin-American/Chinese parents. He skilfully weaves his unique perspective into every performance and delivers sharply executed insights on life as an immigrant. In addition, Javier’s gag rate is off the scale; a witty quick-hitter with incredible writing and improv skills. 

His alias, The Card Ninja has been a smash hit at Fringe Festivals everywhere since 2010 and due to unprecedented demand, will be transferring to New York for a season in 2023. With a show bursting with mind-blowing tricks, incredible precision and theatrical virtuosity, as he pushes live performance to the absolute limit.

 

A self-proclaimed geek, Javier is a big gamer and Marvel Universe fan and he brings these expertise to the stage with his comedy improv duo, The Just Us League. 

The perfect all-round entertainer with an abundance of skill, comedic flair and excessive likability, Javier is definitely one to watch. 

 

Opening the show is Rory O’Hanlon! Having started his career in Dublin, award winning Irish stand-up comedian and actor Rory is a firm favourite at comedy clubs across the UK and Ireland. Described by Chortle as having “presence, poise and timing” and by the Irish Times as having “a joke every 30 seconds”, his rapid fire delivery regularly has audiences crying with laughter.

 

A regular face on Irish TV, Rory has been seen on RTE’s New Comedy AwardsRepublic of Telly and alongside Des Bishop in Under the Influence. He is also a veteran of stage performing with 13 consecutive solo shows at Edinburgh Fringe, including performing at in The Stand’s ‘Best of Irish’ show, as well as recent appearances at both Perth & Adelaide fringe festivals

 

With Matt Adlington! Matt is an up-and-coming comedian and radio presenter from Southend, Essex. He is currently performing across the UK, opening and MC’ing some of the biggest and best comedy clubs on the circuit. Matt has performed his solo hour: Welcome Matt to crowds at both the Leicester & Edinburgh Comedy festivals and is regularly found hosting and closing shows in hometown of Southend.

Matt is the Early Weekend Breakfast Presenter and Sports Analyst with his co-host and fellow Comedian; Ash Frith at Radio Essex.

Headlining the show is the brilliant Paul McCaffrey! Paul has completed two sell-out tours of the UK with Sean Lock on his Keep It Light tour in 2017, and more recently toured with Kevin Bridges on his record-breaking Brand New tour in 2018. He has performed two solo tours of his own, Suburban Legend in 2018, and Lemon in 2020/21.

 

In 2019 Paul made his debut on the flagship BBC stand-up show Live at the Apollo. He previously has starred in BBC Three’s Impractical Jokers and Russell Howard’s Good News, Comedy Central’s Stand Up Central, Channel 4’s 50 Funniest, and CBBC’s The Dog Ate My Homework.

 

An accomplished radio presenter and guest, Paul has recently been heard on talkSPORT, Absolute’s The Alternative Vote, Rock ‘N’ Roll Football with Rob Beckett, and Russell Kane’s Whistle Stop Tour on BBC Radio 2. He also presents The Paul McCaffrey Show every Saturday morning on Jack FM. Paul is an award-winning comedian (Latitude New Act of the Year, London Paper New Act of the Year) and headlines at the biggest comedy clubs in the country. He has performed four critically acclaimed Edinburgh shows as well as major music festivals: Reading, Leeds, V Festival, Bestival and Latitude. Paul is also the co-host of smash hit podcast What’s Upset You Now? with fellow comedian Seann Walsh.

 

Opening the show is comedian and ventriloquist Max Fulham! Max has been working professionally since his early teens and brings a fresh and contemporary twist to a fine art. 

 

Max has wowed audiences with his one man show, entertaining thousands of people in theatres across the UK and internationally. Highlights include appearing on ‘The Good Old Days’ at Leeds City Varieties, following in the footsteps of his variety heroes, and performing on the Blackpool Opera House stage as part of the world-famous Blackpool Magic Convention. Max has also had the unique pleasure of headlining at the prestigious Venthaven Ventriloquist Convention in the USA.

 

With TV appearances including ITV’s Saturday night show ‘Game of Talents’, ‘Mel Giedroyc: Unforgivable’ on Dave and the revival of the classic ‘Crackerjack!’, Max’s comedic talents are in high demand. He is also a regular on the stand-up comedy circuit. Described as “skilled and quick-witted” by The Stage and with viral success on TikTok amassing 2 million likes, Max is a performer not to be missed.

 

With Brighton comic Michael Fabbri! Michael has been a professional stand–up comedian for over 15 years. He made his mark on the UK circuit by appearing on Channel 4‘s ‘So you think you’re Funny competition’. And has a superb reputation on the comedy circuit. He regularly performs at major comedy clubs throughout the UK and all over the world. Michael has supported some of the biggest names in comedy including Micky Flanagan, Lucy Porter & Stephen K Amos. He is also an active writer for TV & Radio shows. Fabbri manages to effortlessly slip between some harsh, controversial topics to light-hearted silliness to make for a refreshingly eclectic and brilliantly funny act, which has taken him to the Edinburgh Festival and beyond.
