New films announced for September at the Marina Theatre Cinema!

A movie starring Nicole Kidman and Colin Farrell begins the new film schedule for September at the Marina Theatre.

The Beguiled (15) will be shown on Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th September at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

It follows the lives of a group of women during the American Civil War. When they discover a wounded Union soldier nearby, they take him in – and everything changes.

They’ve led a sheltered life in a girls’ school, cut off from the world outside. Now that there’s a man in the house, sexual tension, jealousy and rivalries begin to take over, as they gradually learn that the enemy is not what they believe.

The Big Sick (15) will be shown on Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th September at 2.30pm and 7.30pm

The film follows the burgeoning relationship between Kumail and Emily. They quickly grow close, but Kumail doesn’t want his new American girlfriend to meet his very strict Muslim parents.

Emily’s understandably unhappy about this, and things take another turn for the worse when she comes down with a mysterious illness.

Now, Kumail has to take charge of the crisis – along with Emily’s parents.

On Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th September, at 2.30pm and 7.30pm, A Ghost Story (12A) is set to be enjoyed.

Everything, Everything (12A) will hit the big screen on Wednesday 13th September at 2.30pm and 7.30pm and Thursday 14th September at 2.30pm only.

Directed by Stella Meghie and based on the bestselling book of the same name by Nicola Yoon.
