He is best known for presenting the popular CBeebies shows such as ‘Razzledazzle’ and ‘Let’s Celebrate’. And now, Patrick Lynch will be appearing in a brand new stage show at the Marina Theatre in Lowestoft – which uses a pioneering mix of film and theatre.
There and Back Again: An Odyssey uses table-top puppetry which is magnified to giant-size – as the audience is taken on a thrilling ride across the magical world of ancient Greece.
It will take place at the Marina Theatre at 1.30pm and 4.30pm on Wednesday, June 21.
Presented by Lyngo Theatre and aimed at adults and children over the age of six, Patrick portrays the famous battles, floating islands, one-eyed giants and angry Gods that make up Ulysees' 20 year struggle to get back home.
“It's one of the hardest shows I have ever done but one of the most rewarding,” Patrick explained. “I have 87 cues to do in a one hour show as I control the lights, camera and action with my hands and sometimes even my feet but the audience, no matter what their age, seems to be transfixed.”
The show is directed and designed by Marcello Chiarenza and the music specially composed by Carlo 'Cialdo' Capelli.
All seats are £5 for the performance – which forms part of the ‘Once Upon A Festival’ - East Anglia’s leading festival celebrating the best work on stage for families.
