Professional dancer Lizzie Stanley leads a session for The Next Stagers!

She has recently finished an international dance tour – travelling to China, Dubai, Canada and Israel.

But professional dancer Lizzie Stanley was keen to return to her home area to lead a workshop at the Marina Theatre - with the Next Stagers drama group for the over 50’s.

Lizzie, who grew up in Beccles, is currently appearing in Spirit of the Dance – soon to be performed at the Orchard Theatre in Dartford.

But she managed to take time out of her busy schedule to lead the session in Lowestoft on Wednesday, August 30, which featured some challenging dance routines.

“The session included two different routines – the first was a Lindy Hop routine and a second was a bit of hand clapping,” Lizzie explained.

“It was lovely to take part and everybody seemed to have a great time.”

Lizzie trained professionally at London Studio Centre for three years and has also worked as professional dancer and teacher.

She will also appear in a Halloween show at Pleasurewood Hills in October and is also performing and choreographing in this year’s pantomime in Diss.
